Split in two and the bottom chamber is gone as well. Very nicely finished. I guess that's what you do with only one cabinet.

Has anyone heard a split 210 with a sealed back chamber? This looks like a fairly easy horn to build. Straight sides, smallish at 18"W x 60"H. I thought the reflex part was necessary to get bass out of the 210.

For 3500 bucks(seller claims invested) i shouldn't see any "D" grade plywood faces, yet that appears to be what at least the trap door is made of viewed thru the throat.

IMO, the missing reflex volume means they're now a large pair of mid-bass horns.

Last time I looked the other pics didn't come up but yes that looks like cheap ply doesn't it?

Also the trap door doesn't appear to fit too well and has what, 6 screws/bolts holding it?

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Heard a pair of whole 210 horns with sealed rear chambers for over 25 yrs, if that counts. Corner loaded and with a bit of EQ, I didn't really need subs except for the rare vinyl with < 40 Hz content and the better RTR tapes until the digital age arrived. With no corners you'll have to attenuate the horns too much without subs.

Yeah, today, using the rear chamber for a pair of bipolar sub drivers seems the way to go if you don't want a separate sub system.

I keep scratching my head and thinking...
Why would someone do this?
The parallel side walls are even closer
{read standing waves) and
it's a long throw design for a movie theater.

I guess of all the ways to redesign a 210,
this is the least appealing I have seen.
It does look cool though...

The parallel dimensions appear to be about the same as an 816, which would put the fundamental standing wave at around 420Hz. Not too good for a 500Hz XO, but if you had some 300Hz horns and implemented the null in the XO design...

Might be a good component for a 4-way system, but it wouldn't be my first choice there either.
